Juan Carlos obtained his BS as an Electronic Engineer at the Industrial University of Santander. In his degree project he designed a curvature corrected voltage reference integrated in CMOS technology, under MSc. Elkim Felipe Roa Fuentes directions. In this work. using subthreshold MOS tranistors, a 183 mV voltage reference was designed with a current comsumption of 2.4 μA. Appling a current correction, it was obtained a peak-to-peak voltage variation of 700 μV in a temperature range betwen -50 and 150 oC. This circuit was send to be integrated in December in AMS 0.35 μm CMOS technology, and a version adapted to XFAB 0.6 μm CMOS technology was integrated in August, in March the measurements of both circuits will be made. Nowadays Juan Carlos is the DFM engineer of the leaded circuits in the group.
