Jhoan Salinas was born in 1987 in Bucaramanga, Santander. In 2004, he started his studies in electronic engineering at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), and there he took the way of the analog circuit design.
 

Since 2008, he has been assistant research in the CIDIC group. His research interest is in Analog and Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits Design for low power applications, especially high speed low power analog to digital converters. His degree project is titled "Design of a Low Power High Speed Dynamic Comparator", under MSc. Elkim Felipe Roa directions.
